All the experts say that the next two weeks could be trying for the metro area in its coronavirus fight. Because many Maryland deaths are expected from the outbreak, prayers warriors are urging Governor Hogan to keep turning to God as he did this past Sunday at his statewide noon Palm Sunday prayer vigil for the state and world. Because of the life and death urgency of the pandemic, Maryland prayer warriors want Hogan to seriously consider having these vigils everyday from noon to 12:10 PM or maybe indefinitely. They believe that Where there is much prayer there is much power.
The Pray at the Pump Movement (PAPM) wants to call the program The Hogan Hour of Victory Over the Pandemic. To this end, PAPM says that religious leaders of a host of religions should be asked to give daily brief pep talks about the power of God to save Maryland from this curse. Some of Maryland’s most talented inspirational musical artists would giive a daily song of hope. This could all be done in 10 minutes or less. Perhaps, the first inspirational song should be the Negro spiritual entitled If we ever needed the Lord before, we surely do need Him Now. PAPM is willing to help Governor establish this critical program.
Concerned citizens looking for hope in these dark times, should call or email Governor Larry Hogan immediately and tell him to hold the Noon Prayer vigil for at least the next two weeks and maybe make it a permanent fixture of the Maryland Government!
