— On Thursday, June 11, 2015, the lovely and talented Tamia made a stop in Baltimore to perform a short acoustic set at The Sound Garden record store in Fells Point. Fans waited for a chance to hear Tamia perform and have their copy of her latest CD, “Love-Life” autographed.

First and foremost, if Tamia ever sets out on just an acoustic tour, you must go see her. Her voice just is memorizing. She truly didn’t disappoint fans, as she performed three new songs: “Day One” (a ballad she wrote for her husband, NBA legend Grant Hill), the new single “Sandwich and a Soda,” and my favorite “Stuck With Me.” Of course she did the ladies favorite old school joint “Officially Missing You.”

“Love-Life,” is one the best CD’s out right now that addresses love. Ladies, if you have been looking for a way express how you feel towards your mate— this CD is the blue print for expressing love. Tamia keeps it sexy, lovely and grown-up. Tamia delivers by stripping it down and keeping it simple with the vibe and it has no problem being honest when it comes to love. Other favorite tracks are: “Love Falls Over Me,” which should be the next single; “Lipstick;” and “Black Butterfly,” a remake of a classic). “Love-Life” is rated: AWESOME.

Other entertainment notes: On Friday, June 26, 2015, PBS and TV-ONE present “The Gospel Tradition in Performance at the White House.” Morgan State University Choir will be part of this great performance. Tamela Mann, who will also be at the African-American Festival June 20-21 is also part of the show that includes Michelle Williams, Aretha Franklin and many others. Check your local listings for show times.
