The community is invited to join Anne Arundel Community College in celebrating those who serve in the military or who have served at a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014 on the AACC Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway. The ceremony includes the AACC Color Guard, the playing of “Taps” and a reading of names of those who served that are connected to the college.
The ceremony will begin outdoors at the Veterans Memorial Garden at the base of the amphitheater behind the Cade Center for Fine Arts before moving into Cade Center Room 219 for the remainder of the ceremony and a reception. A table will be set up to create a card to thank and welcome home members of the military.
In addition, AACC has planned several activities to honor both its military and veteran students and military members of the community.
