ARNOLD, Md. — Four members of the Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) Visual Arts Department will present “Artistic Formation,” a 1½-hour discussion about their early journeys and decisions in becoming artists, at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in the Cade Center for Fine Arts Room 323 on the Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway.
Multi-media artist Dawn Bond; painter Jim Fitzsimmons; sculptor Allen Linder; and graphic designer Rick Strittmater discuss their triumphs and tribulations on the road to becoming practicing artists. Moderator and 2-D artist Chris Mona, professor and chair of the department, said the audience is invited to pepper the artists with questions about the follies and foibles of finding success in the art world.
