Celebrate New Year’s Eve At Baltimore’s Inner Harbor

— Ring in the New Year with live music and a spectacular fireworks show at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.

Baltimore’s New Year’s Eve Spectacular, which is produced by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) takes place Monday, December 31, 2018 from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Starting at 9 p.m., Thunderball, Baltimore’s premiere dance rock revue, performs a variety of musical genres at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater, located at Pratt and Light streets.

Mayor Catherine E. Pugh will usher in 2019 with the official countdown to the stunning pyrotechnics. At midnight, the fireworks will ignite from two barges anchored in the harbor. The 15-minute show is choreographed to music and produced by Pyrotecnico, a special effects and fireworks company based in New Castle, Pennsylvania.

The public may view the fireworks along the Inner Harbor promenade and the surrounding neighborhoods of Federal Hill; Locust Point; Canton; Harbor East; and Fells Point.

Additionally, WJZ-TV 13 broadcasts the celebration on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11 p.m. on WJZ-TV 13.

Baltimore’s New Year’s Eve Spectacular is produced by BOPA and supported by WJZ-TV 13, Visit Baltimore, Cruise Maryland and the City of Baltimore.

You may also ring in the New Year while skating at the PANDORA Ice Rink at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor produced by the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore, located near the amphitheater. The holiday tradition offers family-friendly skating, along with food and beverage. Holiday hours are Monday, December 31, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Starting at 9 p.m. the first 100 people to the ice rink will receive noisemakers. New this year, keep warm near fire pits located at the Penguin Pad presented by WhyHotel.
