Lorraine Bailey-Carter, Founder of The Women’s Challenge, Inc. stated, “Our mission at The Women’s Challenge, Inc. is to empower, educate and encourage young girls and women. One pivotal, driving factor in our strategy is home ownership. When a child sees their parent own a home, they strive to do the same. By instilling money management basics and skills at a young age, we’re able to nurture and cultivate that knowledge which we believe leads to financial empowerment. Education is the key, and finances are the path, to home ownership.”
They’ll also hear from representatives from Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, Maryland Mortgage Program, Baltimore County Maryland, Security Woodlawn Business Association, and Woodlawn High School PTSA.
