— Hello everyone! Well, I guess winter is officially here, we had some beautiful snow last Saturday and I guess more is on its way before the season ends, but let it not stop us from having fun and enjoying the activities of different organizations that are brave enough to put on at this time of the year. On behalf of the Jazz Expressways Foundation, Inc. I want to thank each and every one of you who attended our Xmas Jazz Breakfast at the Forest Park Senior Center last Saturday morning, thanks to you it was very successful and the band, Phil Butts and his guys were awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

The Big Sisters Club of Baltimore has done it again. Western High School graduate, Sheila Shaheed was presented with a scholarship during their Annual Scholarship Award Luncheon in November. Sheila graduated fourth in her graduating class from Western High School and is presently a freshman at Howard University. Her major is medicine with the ultimate goal of becoming an obstetrician.
