Maryland Dentists to Provide Free Care to Baltimore Residents

WHAT:          

Maryland dentists will donate their time and services to provide free dental care to hundreds of Baltimore City residents, in collaboration with volunteer staff and University of Maryland School of Dentistry students and professors. The two-day Mission of Mercy dental and vision clinic is sponsored by United Way’s Project Homeless Connect.

Additional Background:

 While there are other Missions of Mercy around the country, the events in Maryland are gatherings of volunteer dental professionals who along with a volunteer staff of several hundred hold free, two-day dental clinics at locations around the state. MSDA members have helped to support and provide care to Mission of Mercy events across the state, from the Eastern Shore to Western Maryland. They are also working to provide care through ER diversion programs, Community Dental Health Coordinators, and programs to help children and the elderly.
