22 Oregon State 73, Arkansas Pine Bluff 40

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Arkansas Pine Bluff could not keep pace in a 73-40 loss to #22 Oregon State on Tuesday. The Lions were led by Destiny Brewton, who netted 14 points along with grabbing three boards in the loss.

Arkansas Pine Bluff (3-8) fell behind early in this one, trailing Oregon State 17-10 after the first quarter of play. The Lions would be outscored 21-13 in the second for a 23-48 halftime deficit. UAPB only manage to score 15 points in the second half, while Oregon State’s tallied 35, leading to the Lions’ loss.

The Lions struggled offensively in this contest. UAPB would go just 17-52 from the field for a 32.5 field goal percentage.

UAPB will be in action again on Jan 2, when the Lions begin conference play hosting Mississippi Valley State at 5:30PM CT.
