TOWSON, Md. — Farmers’ Market Coupons will be available through the Baltimore County Department of Aging on Friday, July 8. Income-eligible seniors (see below) can pick-up one $30 book of farmers’ market coupons per household, while supplies last. Limited quantities are available. Coupons can be used to purchase produce at Farmer’s Markets in the state.
Coupons will be available for distribution at the following locations from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.:
• Hillcrest Elementary School, 1500 Frederick Rd., Baltimore, MD 21228
• Northminster United Presbyterian Church, 705 Main St., Reisterstown, MD 21136 (Off Reisterstown Road just north of the Hanna More Complex)
• Cockeysville Branch, Baltimore County Public Library, 9833 Greenside Dr., Cockeysville, MD 21030
• Windsor Mill Middle School, 8300 Windsor Mill Rd., Baltimore, MD 21244
• Perry Hall Middle School, 4300 Ebenezer Rd., Baltimore, MD 21236
• Middle River Middle School, 800 Middle River Rd., Baltimore, MD 21220
• Patapsco High School, 8100 Wise Ave., Baltimore, MD 21222
Schools/libraries should not be contacted directly as this is a Department of Aging activity and schools/libraries will not have any details.
The Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program aims to provide fresh, nutritious, unprepared, locally grown fruits, vegetables, cut herbs and honey from farmers’ markets and roadside stands to low-income seniors. It was established as a federal program in 2000.
The following requirements must be met to receive a check:
