Hello everyone, my dear friends. Guess what? It’s really spring! I woke up this morning and heard the birds chirping, I looked outside and saw the colorful flowers blooming, especially the tulips. You know those flowers don’t come out to do anything until the stuff is right. I am so excited that this beautiful warm weather is gracing us again. I don’t know about you, but I am tired of being cold.
This is the perfect weather to go shopping, take long drives (when the gas prices don’t go crazy); work in your garden, pick-up all the debris in your back yard that the wind and snow left behind. And yes! Underneath it all, it is time to cut the grass. Well, we can’t have everything.
I prefer to dress up and check out some shows and events that are going on in the next couple of weeks.
On Sunday, April 23, 2016, and every Sunday from 6 a.m. to 12 noon there is a “Sunday Indoor Flea Market” at the Paparazzi Night Club located at 407 E. Saratoga Street across from the Baltimore’s Farmer’s Market. Space is available for more vendors. You must bring your own table and just do your thing. What is so great about this is the Baltimore’s Farmers’ Market is open the same duck-plucking time, how cool is that? You can go on one side of the street and get your meats and veggies, put them in the car then go across the street and get a lot of other shopping done, such as clothes, shoes, jewelry, paintings, books; just a whole lot of stuff. For the flea market information, call 410-808-5131. Tell them “Rambling Rose” from the Baltimore Times told you.
Okay, let’s have some cocktails at Sidney’s Spring Fling on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 5 to 9. The event is at the East Baltimore Lodge #1043 located at 2008 Harford Road in Baltimore and features the Bobby Rucks Band. Food is available and you get your first drink free. For more information call Barbara at 410-908-9911 or Sidney at 410-366-2740.
“Bleue’s on the Water,” a gorgeous venue on the water with breath-taking views located at 7696 Altoona Beach Road in Glen Burnie, Maryland is hosting an “Administrative Professional Day” free on Wednesday, April 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring your assistants and have lunch. They are serving sparkling drinks, brunch, lunch and an appetizer buffet at their beautiful beachfront retreat. For more information, call 410-760-4115 or go to: www.bleuesonthewater.com. I might see you there, with my assistant “Shorty,” my Boo-Boo.
Don’t forget every Saturday evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. the Caton Castle Lounge at 20 S. Caton Avenue and Hilton Street showcases the best live entertainment. Featured this week is the Todd Marcus Quintet with Joel Frahm, Allyn Johnson, Jeff Reed and Wayne Smith. For ticket information, call 410-566-7086.
Alright now, I am out of space, I got to go. If you need me, call me at 410-833-9474 or email me at rosapryor@aol.com. UNTIL THE NEXT TIME, I’M MUSICALLY YOURS.
