— On Friday, September 18, 2015, participating McDonald’s restaurants in the Greater Baltimore area will offer free breakfast to kindergarten through eighth grade students from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. All students must be accompanied by an adult when visiting a participating McDonald’s restaurant. The promotion is valid in-restaurant only.

“Research shows that breakfast not only plays an important role in a healthy body weight, but can help children keep focused in class,” said Jade Mineo, a Registered Dietitian. “McDonald’s has broadened their menu to provide breakfast items which include; whole grains, egg whites, fruit, yogurt, and low fat dairy options. I encourage students – accompanied by an adult – to take part in Free Breakfast Day and start their day with breakfast at McDonalds.”

McDonald’s will give an Egg McMuffin®, apples slices and one 1% low fat milk or apple Juice to adults who come into restaurants with a student. The signature Egg McMuffin® features a freshly cracked Grade A egg with extra lean Canadian style bacon and a slice of melty American cheese, held together by a freshly toasted English muffin.

“McDonald’s Family Restaurants of Greater Baltimore are excited to be celebrating local students with Free Breakfast Day for Students on Friday, September 18th,” said Jeff Taylor, local McDonald’s Owner/Operator and President of the McDonald’s Family Restaurants of Greater Baltimore area Co-Op. “McDonald’s is strongly committed to the well-being of children and look forward to providing students with free breakfast.”
