BALTIMORE — Travis Winkey Studio in conjunction with veteran actor and playwright Norris Davis (The Wire), Travis Winkey Productions presents a weekend of drama featuring “From the Pulpit to the Runway,” a musical, with two shows on Saturday, August 8 through Sunday, August 9, 2015 starting with a pre-show at 6 p.m. at the Dunbar High School Theatre, located at 1400 Orleans Street in Baltimore City.
Known in Baltimore and internationally for his extensive work in the modeling industry and classic fashion show productions, Travis Winkey has showcased stellar runway presentations for more than forty years. Winkey stated that “as a citizen born and raised in Baltimore, I want to give back in a way that unites people across the city and promotes the good things Baltimore has to offer, through a platform such as the arts and theatre, known to draw all ages as well as break cultural barriers.”
Davis became a familiar face among televisions most real life street drama during his role on “The Wire,” a show based on Baltimore’s inner city, for which he was also a writer. Together the two highlight nonstop entertainment through #PulpittoRunwayDrama to keep audiences in laughter and suspense, witnessing tense situations taking place in a Charm City church.
