BALTIMORE — Members of the Baltimore Orchard Project will host learning events, as well as donate locally grown mulberries to participating Hampden venues.
Local non-profit Baltimore Orchard Project (BOP), a program of Civic Works, is launching Mulberry Madness this month to promote the awareness and health benefits of mulberries and other fruits that are free for the picking in Baltimore.
Baltimore Orchard Project will host a learning opportunity for the community where all are welcome to come outside for mulberry tastings, fast facts and fun giveaways on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Corner Charcuterie Bar located at 850 W 36th Street in Baltimore.
Baltimore Orchard Project will also donate mulberries to participating restaurants in Hampden, including: Aromes, The Arthouse, Café Hon, The Charmery, The Corner, Dangerously Delicious Pies, The Food Market and Ma Petite Shoe Café to be incorporated in specially created dishes, drinks and desserts between June 22 and June 27, 2015.
