As part of Money Smart Week across the nation, the Enoch Pratt Free Library is hosting several financial planning and money management workshops to encourage financial literacy among Baltimoreans.
Money Smart Week at the Pratt begins on Saturday, April 18, 2015, in the Poe Room at the Central Library located at 400 Cathedral Street in Baltimore. Money Smart Week is a partnership with AXA Advisors, Society of Financial Awareness, PNC Bank and Baltimore CASH Campaign.
“Baltimore City is invested in getting its residents in the best financial shape possible,” said Ray Cruitt, Pratt Business Librarian. “The Enoch Pratt Free Library/ State Library Resource Center is committed to that goal and is therefore participating in this nationally recognized program that libraries all over the country participate in every National Financial Literacy Month.”

PNC Bank presents an interactive family program on money management. Parents and children will have the opportunity to interact with PNC volunteers, ask questions and take valuable tools that will help them apply the concepts of spending, sharing and saving.
Investing Basics for Men and Women

Society of Financial Awareness (SOFA) presents a program on investing issues for both men and women. The subjects covered include asset allocation, investing issues for women, and how to manage investing in a fragile market.

Learn about credit and its importance. Lecture will discuss the difference between credit score and a credit report, resources to help improve credit, and obtaining a free credit report.
