Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all! This is my last column until the New Year, so I am going to do some catching up and bring you up to date until my column returns on January 2, 2015.

This has been a rough year for many of us for one reason or another, so let’s hope that 2015 will be a better one.

There will be a Christmas Toy Drive sponsored by the Low Riderz Sk8 Club Baltimore Maryland at the Shake and Bake located 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue. Take your new unwrapped toys to the Shake and Bake on December 19 and 20 between the hours of 8 p.m. and midnight. The last day that toys will be accepted is December 20 at the Ceelow Production Christmas Party. For more information, email: cclowriderz@gmail.com.

One of my favorite holiday spots is the Miracle on 34th Street in Hampden going on now through January 3, 2015. We go every year. During the holidays one long block in the 700 block of West 34th Street in Hampden puts on a Christmas light display that is visible from the sky in that area. Every house has a different theme. It is beautiful, colorful and very entertaining. There are inflatable snow globes, musical trains and blinking lights adorning homes. A few even allow visitors to peek inside their houses. The lights are on every night after dark including all night on Christmas Eve. Check it out and don’t forget to take your camera.

Happy New Year!
