Hello my dear friends. I hope your Labor Day weekend was a great one. Summer’s coming to a close, but we still have a few more weeks to squeeze in some outdoor fun. There are a few upcoming events I would like to share with you, so get out your calendar and start marking the dates.

I always try to support local people in the community who are not necessarily famous or popular, but should be. I believe people should always be recognized for what they do in their community.
The Prince Hall Annual Day celebration is Sunday, September 14 th at 3 p.m., and will be held at The City Temple of Baltimore, located at 317 Dolphin Street. The Honorable Melvin M. Thorpe, Most Worshipful Grand Master invites you all to this celebration service. It is open to the public. They will present the History of Prince Hall and the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music and song so that hearts may be touched and spirits lifted. The word of God will be preached by Reverend Dr. Brother S. Todd Yeary.
Everett & Stella Fullwood are hosting their Annual Western Disco on Saturday, September 20 th from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., at the Towson American Legion Hall, 125 York Road in Towson, Maryland. There will be prizes for the best female and best male western outfits. Bring your own dish and BYOB. Tickets include free parking, set-ups, food on sale, vendors, and 50/50 Raffle. The Mason’s Jerusalem Temple No. 4 will host “All You Can Eat Crab Feast” on Saturday September 20th from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., at the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, 2501 Putty Hill Avenue in Baltimore. OL Williams
A star in your backyard includes OL Williams, a unique musician committed to doing God’s work. His gift started at a young age when his piano playing father bought him a piano and lessons. He went to a community college where he studied piano theory with other teachers who helped him to develop a neo R&B gospel sound. His cousin was the late great R&B jazz singer Phyllis Hyman. He continues to write and produce songs for other R&B groups, such as rock ‘n roll Hall of Famer, Eddie Rich.
Williams developed a passion for writing and producing spiritual songs and music. Now when you listen to OL Williams’ GS Project music, you’ll know that he’s committed to working for the Lord. His music is uplifting and contains words of encouragement for those who are seeking a spiritual power from the Lord.
Well, my dear friends, I will end my column by letting you know that I have tickets for the Rosa Pryor Music Scholarship Fund Award Banquet Red Carpet Black & Gold Event for Sunday, October 26th, from 4-8 p.m. at the Forum Caterers. I am honoring some fantastic musicians, singers and club owners this year, such as Dante Daniels, owner of Maceo’s Lounge and Colin’s Seafood Grill; Dennis Chambers, renowned drummer; Jesse “Jay” Moody, drummer; Jacob Saulsbury, educator and musician; and vocalist “Lady Rebecca” Lilly, just to name a few.
