Hello everyone! Honey Child! This looks like it will be a busy weekend for me. Girlfriend! You got to help me out here. Please check out all the events that will be going on just on Saturday, August 16th. This is a terrible situation. Okay, I have to be at the African-American Author’s Expo on Saturday, which is 11a.m. to 5 p.m. Because of my new book, you know I have to there and Friday, August 15th I have to be at the Author’s Expo Award Dinner because I am one of the speakers. But, getting back to Saturday, there is Ms. Maybelle’s Comedy show that starts at 8 p.m. at the Darkside Lounge on Harford Road; I believe “Boo-Boo” and I can make that after leaving Timonium, but my problem is Vernard Gray’s party at Caton Castle, also on Saturday that starts at 6 p.m. Now here is where I need your help. I need you all to meet me everywhere I am going, but when you get to Caton Castle on time, let them know I will not be able to be there, but I send love and congrats! Thanks, I appreciate that.

I received a note from Charles Dugger, to let me know it is that time of the year again, celebrating 44 years of his “Annual Marcus Garvey Day” on Saturday, August 16th beginning with a parade at the Wall of Respect at Carey and Cumberland Streets and proceeding down Pennsylvania Avenue, through Dolphin Street to Fremont Avenue to Edmondson Avenue to Harlem Park. Please try to support this beautiful, cultural parade for a good cause. A celebration will take place at Harlem Park from 12 noon to 7 p.m. on Gilmor Street and Edmondson Avenue in West Baltimore. There will be lots of vendors, art, music, poetry, an African marketplace, and games for the children. No need to call anyone. Just go! It is free to the public.
