Morgan State University President David Wilson has announced a new incentive to students who have earned associate degrees to complete their education at MSU. The Transfer Incentive Program (TIP) will offer scholarships of up to $10,000 to incoming transfer students who have successfully completed their associate degrees.
“Morgan enjoys a very healthy relationship with its community college partners throughout Maryland and across the region,” said Dr. Wilson. “We are hoping that 100 graduates from these schools who transfer to Morgan will realize a direct benefit from this partnership by continuing their education with us, at a significant savings.”
In order to qualify for the program, students must have earned an associate degree from a regionally accredited college or university and enroll in certain selected programs at Morgan, including Actuarial Science; Chemistry; Construction Management; Economics; English; History; Finance; Mathematics; Philosophy; Theater; Physics; and Engineering Physics.
TIP will offer qualifying students as much as $2,000 per semester for up to five semesters. To maintain eligibility, students must remain in their chosen major, and successfully complete at least 15 credits per semester while maintaining a 2.5 grade point average (GPA).
The program is open to both in-state and out-of-state students.
