— Two additional Diabetes Education Workshops have been scheduled this summer at Anne Arundel Medical Center. The workshops are free and open to the public. The workshops will be facilitated by Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities. “Living Well with Diabetes” is a six-week workshop offered in the morning and evening. Adults 18 and older are welcome to attend.

“Living Well with Diabetes” is appropriate for participants with pre-diabetes, Type 1 diabetes or Type 2 diabetes. This program teaches participants how to manage their blood sugar levels as well as provides information about reading nutrition labels, counting carbohydrates, performing appropriate exercise, and how to manage symptoms associated with both high and low blood sugar levels.

Registration is underway now for both six-week workshops. Each workshop will be held in Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Belcher Pavilion, 2000 Medical Parkway.
