— On the anniversary of the Newtown, CT slayings which killed 26 people including first graders and their teachers, a “Call for Remembrance and Resolve,” ceremony was held December 14 at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Baltimore.

The event was sponsored by the MD Chapter of MOMS Demand Action for Common Sense. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake spoke at the event and called for an end to gun violence. She urged lawmakers to “be bold, be courageous and to work to create great change.” The opening prayer was given by Deal Hal Hayek of the Cathedral.

The program ended with a bell ringing ceremony honoring the 26 victims of the Sandy Hook shooting.
