Baltimore County Accepting Nominations for 9th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Content of Character Awards

— The Baltimore County Office of Human Resources and is accepting nominations for its annual “Baltimore County Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. – Content of Character Awards.” This is the 9th year Baltimore County will commemorate Dr. King’s birthday with this event.

This award honors Baltimore County residents (a man, woman, boy, and girl) who strive to model exemplary character as described in Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech: “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

Nomination forms can be acquired in the following ways:

The deadline for nominations is Friday, December 20, 2013. Honorees will be notified after December 27, and the awards ceremony will be held on January 17, 2014, at St. Stephens A.M.E. Church, 1601 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex, MD 21221 at 11 a.m.
