BALTIMORE — Starting Tuesday, September 10, 2013, McDonald’s® Family Restaurants of Greater Baltimore will celebrate local educators by offering them complimentary Premium Roast Coffee every Tuesday throughout the 2013-2014 school year. The 133 McDonald’s® restaurants of Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Carroll, Cecil, Harford and Howard Counties will provide a free Premium Roast Coffee of any size to teachers, administrators and school staff on Tuesdays as part of their “Teacher Tuesday” program.
Teacher Tuesdays are the latest addition to the Greater Baltimore McDonald’s® proud legacy of supporting local education and the communities they serve. McDonald’s® and the Maryland State Department of Education have had a long-standing partnership for more than 25 years. McDonald’s® has made supporting education a top priority, believing that it is important to recognize leaders who serve their communities and make a positive difference in the lives of Maryland’s youth.
“Our local Educators serve as role models for the entire Maryland family and help to make our communities stronger through education,” said Christopher Mann, Maryland McDonald’s® Owner/Operator and President of the McDonald’s® Family Restaurants of Greater Baltimore. “As part of McDonald’s commitment to education and the community, we wanted to create a program that expressed our appreciation throughout the entire school year.”
For more than 30 years, the McDonald’s® Family Restaurants of Greater Baltimore has worked closely with community schools to support education and scholastic fundraising efforts. Events such as McTeacher Night celebrations also support local schools, PTA organizations, Booster clubs, athletic teams and academic clubs through donations of the percentage of sales from the events.
To receive a complimentary Premium Roast Coffee on Teacher Tuesdays, educators must present a valid current school identification card when ordering their coffee. The offer is available in-restaurant or drive-thru every Tuesday until June 24, 2014 at all McDonald’s® restaurants located in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Carroll, Cecil, Harford and Howard Counties.
