In celebration of the church’s 150th Anniversary as a parish and 220th year as a Catholic faith community, parishioners and the community are invited to participate in a weekend of family, fun and service from June 7 – 9, 2013.

“Family Fun Night” will kick off the weekend with lots of games, food and other entertainment at Amped Up Family Amphitheatre in White Marsh. The event goes from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and tickets are $5 with a $3 rebate for concessions.

Following an evening of fun, members of St. Francis Church along with their Associate Pastor, Fr. Xavier Edet, SSJ, will serve close to 1,000 Our Daily Bread clients at 725 Fallsway on Casserole Day, Saturday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Parishioners prepared over 120 casseroles, which will also be shared with clients at My Sister’s Place.

The weekend concludes on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at a Youth and Family Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church located at 1400 N. Caroline Street in Baltimore City. A free lunch will be served after the service.

The St. Francis Xavier 100 Voice Youth Choir under the direction of Kenyatta Hardison will make its debut at an open-air concert at 3 p.m. in front of the church.

Joining the choir will be the Heavenly Praise Dancers of St. Francis, under the direction of Christina Taylor as well as other guest choirs and performances. The community is invited to participate in any or all of the weekend’s activities as St Francis Xavier’s youth and families “Celebrate and Magnify the Lord!”
