Entertainment Cruise Productions invites choir leaders and music ministers to organize their church choirs or praise teams to lift their voices at sea and join the Soul Train Mass Choir on the upcoming 2013 cruise. Last year’s inaugural Soul Train Cruise was a sold out success. Guests on the luxury liner are treated to A1 accommodations and entertainment. This year’s line-up of artists reads like a who’s who in classic soul with performances by Earth Wind & Fire, Gladys Knight, Jeffrey Osborne, The Whispers, Freddie Jackson, The Ohio Players, Jennifer Holliday, Jonathan Butler, Con Funk Shun, Regina Belle, The Bar-Kays, Dazz Band, Regina Belle, Mary Jane Girls, The Original Lakeside, A Taste of Honey featuring Janice Marie, DW3, comedian Alonzo Bodden and DJ extraordinaire Biz Markie.

Last year the cruise featured a packed gospel concert and this year’s cruise will continue the tradition. The twist is that this year, cruise organizers are inviting choir members who purchase cabins to sing on stage at the star-studded gospel concert that features among others, Grammy Award nominated R&B legend Jonathan Butler (who is known within the gospel world for his hit songs “Falling in Love with Jesus” and I Stand On Your Word”) and soul music veteran, Jeffrey Osborne who is remembered for evergreen hits like “On The Wings of Love” and “You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song).”
The concert and the entire week of Soul Train Cruise activities and performances are professionally videotaped and each cruise passenger receives a copy of the souvenir DVD once it’s been edited and finalized. Also, Centric TV will be on board the ship to film segments for a future TV special.
Choir leaders and group organizers can earn a free trip if they persuade a certain amount of their associates to purchase cabins on the cruise. The Soul Train Cruise leaves San Diego on October 5 and travels through Bahia Magdalena, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas before returning to San Diego on October 12, 2013.
