Port Discovery Children’s Museum ranked one of the 15 best children’s museums in the U.S.

— Port Discovery Children’s Museum has been named one of The 15 Best Children’s Museums in the U.S. by Parents Magazine. According to the article, the chosen museums “feature interactive exhibits where kids want to linger, playing is encouraged, and learning is a byproduct of the fun.”

Joining the ranks of the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, Boston Children’s Museum and the Children’s Museum of Houston, Port Discovery is recognized for its wide spectrum of music, literacy and early learning programs, including the award winning program Mother Goose on the Loose.

Port Discovery serves over 265,000 visitors per year making it one of the top visited museums in Maryland. In addition to Parents Magazine, Port Discovery has also earned a spot on Fodor’s Travel’s list of Top 10 Children’s Museums in the US (2014), Destinations Travel Magazine’s list for the Nation’s Best Children’s Museums (2014), and Forbes’ list of Top Museums in the Nation (2012).
