— Lardarius Webb Foundation, in partnership with Center for Urban Families, and Sagamore Development announce the launch of /MEN.FOK/ (Menfolk) an adult male college and career mentoring program. /MEN.FOK/ (Menfolk) is an adult male college and career focused mentoring program that pairs industry giants with males entering the workforce for the first time; helping to build a professional network and core support in establishing career sustainability.

Baltimore, Maryland: On Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. the Lardarius Webb Foundation will be joining the Center for Urban Families, and Sagamore Development to announce a program partnership that will focus on creating career sustainability for men connecting with employment for the very first time. The /MEN.FOK/ (Menfolk) launch event will take place at the Center for Urban Families, located at 2201 N. Monroe Street Baltimore, Maryland. Ravens’ Free Safety Lardarius Webb will be leading the program presentation to a group of key stakeholders, invited guests, media and community members.

/MEN.FOK/ (Menfolk) was created by Lardarius Webb Foundation’s Chief Program Officer, Jeff Lilly and Founder, Lardarius Webb after recognizing the rapid onset of re-emerging or newly identified barriers which curtail attachment to work; primarily associated with adult men age 18-35 years old who are engaging within the workforce for the very first time. Both Lilly and Webb identified a solution that involved, extending their professional networks and establishing a unified “team” men who have achieved career success and stability. Greatly aiding in the process of creating leadership skills, character development, conflict resolution tactics, emotional intelligence, situational awareness strategies, intimate career intelligence and long-term peer support; thus, helping to sustain employment and promote continued career growth and career advancement.

The Lardarius Webb Foundation program, /MEN.FOK/ (Menfolk) will begin working with male membership of the Center for Urban Families, who are currently participating in Sagamore Development’s Port Covington Manufacturing Career and Community Fellowship; in partnership with The Foundery. The Port Covington program is a 6-week, experiential manufacturing training experience that builds high-level skill in untapped talent, making them aptly equipped to seamlessly transition into careers within Baltimore’s manufacturing industries. /MEN.FOK/ (Menfolk) mentors will be supporting members of this program for no less than one year post employment.
