— On Saturday, May 2, 2015, Baltimore foodies can bring their appetites to the 5th Annual Brothers Who Can Cook tasting affair to benefit the Christian Warriors Marching Band. The band serves as a recreational activity for at-risk youth and offers an outlet for the children to showcase their musical talents.

The delicious affair will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Downtown Cultural Art Center, located at 401 North Howard Street in Baltimore.

This year’s affair welcomes back our celebrity chefs: Military Channel’s Brad “The Grill Sergeant” Turner who competed against Celebrity Chef Bobby Flay for a barbecue throwdown; Mookie Hicks – Food Network’s 24 Hour Restaurant Battle Winner; and Cooking Tye – Celebrity Hip Hop Chef and author, along with scores of other celebrity chef talent.

“This not-be-missed event gives our renowned local and national chefs, an opportunity to spotlight their culinary skills while serving great causes,” said Ujimma Masani, Chief Visionary Officer for Brothers Who Can Cook. “Chefs are also part of a movement to help fight against the pandemic of obesity and diabetes by exposing their extraordinary healthy appetizers and signature dishes to attendees during this event. Three of our chefs will receive the Renaissance Man Award for their entrepreneurial and charitable efforts.”
