BALTIMORE,Md. — Talent from TLC’s DC CUPCAKES, OUR LITTLE FAMILY and CURVY BRIDES and a number of TLC employees were at the Maryland Food Bank in Baltimore, June 23rd, 2015, to present a $10K donation to the organization. The talent and employees then spent the morning volunteering and were able to sort and package more than 6,000 pounds of food for the organization.
The Maryland Food Bank in Baltimore was in urgent need of the donation following the large quantity of unexpected emergency distributions in the wake of the Baltimore riots this spring. TLC’s donation came as part of the network’s commitment to giving back in the community where its employees live and work and is part of an ongoing partnership with Feeding America intended to raise awareness and community involvement in the fight against hunger.
