(CNN) — Top-seeded Serena Williams won her sixth U.S. Open women’s singles tennis title Sunday by defeating Caroline Wozniacki 6-3, 6-3 at Flushing, New York. It was Williams’ third consecutive title in the event and her 18th Grand Slam win.
