Town hall brings Maryland candidates to the citizens of Maryland

On Thursday, March 27, 2014 local women’s organizations will bring

together the candidates in Maryland’s most high profile races for a Town Hall Forum at Morgan State University in Murphy Fine Arts Center from 6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.

Sponsored by the Baltimore Area Chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Baltimore Metropolitan Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, this event is event is an opportunity for the citizens of Maryland to hear and see the candidates in-person as they vie for the top offices in the State of Maryland.

The candidates for governor, attorney general, and comptroller are expected to attend, and will take questions from both moderators and the audience. The sponsoring organizations are committed to social action, political awareness and community involvement. This event allows local residents the opportunity to voice concerns about the state of their communities to the people seeking to represent them. The confirmed candidates who will attend are:

Gubernatorial:

Lt. Governor Anthony Brown; Doug Gansler; Ralph Jaffe;

Charles Lollar; Shawn Quinn; William Campbell; and Heather Mizeur

Attorney General:

Aisha Braveboy and Leo Dymowski

Comptroller:

William Campbell
