Baltimore Ravens Wide Receiver Torrey Smith is ringing in the holiday season with a “Teaming Up with Torrey Toy Drive” on behalf of The Torrey Smith Foundation until Wednesday, December 18, 2013 to grant the holiday wishes of Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore.
Walmart.com is hosting the toy drive. To donate, visit: Walmart.com and, from the Registry tab at the top, drop down and click Wish List. Toys can be purchased online and will be delivered to the local Boys and Girls Clubs. Torrey will then distribute the gifts at an exclusive holiday celebration on December 20.
The local Boys and Girls Clubs that will benefit from Torrey Smith’s toy drive include Arlington Elementary School, Baltimore City Juvenile Justice Center, Brooklyn O’Malley, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary, O’Donnell Heights, Towanda Extension, Webster Kendrick and Westport Homes.
“This is my favorite time of the year! It’s a great feeling to see the smiles on kids’ faces as they receive their gifts,” said Smith. “It’s even more special to know that random people chipped in to help a child that they will never know or meet. I thank you all in advance. It’s a blessing to be a part of this drive with you.”
