The Arena Players presents a dynamic play called, “Waiting to be Invited” on Sunday, December 1 at 4 p.m. Set in 1960’s Atlanta, the play is about the courage of four African American women who go to a “whites only” department store to have lunch just after the Supreme Court ruled segregated eating establishments unconstitutional. This event is sponsored by the Julian Branch of The Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH). The president is Dr. Thomas H. De Laine, Sr. The play is directed by Amini Johari Courts.
